It’s that time of year again

It’s that time of year again kiddies. October is fastly creeping up, and as soon as we know it Halloween will be here! Some say Halloween is the best time of the year when spirits can make contact with the physical world, and when magic is most potent! Starting in October we will be doing a new investigation every week. In the mean time, we will be posting our experiences from past encounters, as well as ghost stories and other fun stuff to kick off the site! We hope you’ll stick around.

The NCPSociety recently took this picture at a local cemetery and mysteriously this strange anomaly appeared in the shot.

I love this site! I’m not really a big fan of Halloween, because I think too much emphasis is placed on the dark and evil. But I know there are ghosts (seen too many to believe otherwise) and it amazes me that anyone could doubt their existence.

The “anaomaly” is the trail of lights created when the camera was moved slightly. If you look closely, the rest of the picture is blurry as well. This happens in low light conditions because the “shutter” needs to stay open longer to collect enough light to produce the image.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, those are lights in the background and a shaky hand on the camera at the time the picture was taken. Really cool effects, but not super natural. I have tons of those shots, same identical lights, especially when I get tired. :(
